“We should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.” ― Friedrich Nietzsche
Music and dance are exquisite forms of radical self-expression and will form a fundamental part of the festival experience. Movement, vibration and resonation allow us to release emotional blockages and to unite in deep connection with those around through a powerful non-verbal communication.
Our music program curated by David Block will feature intimate evening performances of both live and electronic music from all four directions of the world that sublimely cross genres. Fanna-Fi-Allah will begin our music offerings on Thursday with Sufi devotional music from India and Pakistan, and through the weekend we will travel through California, Australia, Columbia, Europe and of course the traditional music of Bali.
Every night leading performers will treat us to bespoke curated visual spectacles to complement the music. In honour of our hosts there will also be Balinese performances of Gamelan, Ogoh Ogoh and Kecak fire dancing.
Each day we will be holding ecstatic dance sessions and immersive sound healing.
It is with such pleasure that we present our music and performance offerings below.
